With his parents dedicating themselves to the art field, Chen Dian Mo was taught to develop his own sense of beauty. He was involved in the commercial industry as an Art Designer for 8 years, and his achievements reach to more than 80 TV commercials & several printed commercials.
The first company Chen worked for was Cicada Film Studio (2000-2003), which was a meaningful beginning to the commercial industry. Through Director Martin’s teaching, Chen gained profound experience when exploring art and images. After working there for one year, he was not only able to produce pre-production art, but also received opportunities to participate in creating storyboard and carry out post production tasks, such as TC, editing, D1 and recording.
Chen worked as an art director in the second company called Cream Production (2003). As his goal was to be a professional commercial director, the knowledge and training he tried to absorb were expanding and it is more than simply completing the original art-working task. Thanks to Director Chung Mong-Hong, he started renewing the current thought of images which only focused on color and aesthetic feelings via the camera. More ideas should be given to deliver the strength of a perfect image, which is not possible to express by neither language nor words.
Although a good image brings less imagination than words do, it is the closest one can get to a feeling. Creating a good image is more than a job, it is Chen’s goal and the source of joy in his life. He likes to show his passion for images through a wonderful work which would connect with the audience from deep within their hearts.
